Spend a day or more and visit our museums and local attractions: the world renowned Shelburne Museum, Middlebury's Henry Sheldon Museum, the Vermont Folklife Center, Burlington's waterfront ECHO aquarium, the University of Vermont's Fleming Museum.  And don't miss our world class nautical archaeological museum - the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and Shelburne's 1400 acre working farm and National Historic Landmark - Shelburne Farms.  

And if your idea of great activity tends more toward shopping, visit wonderful locally–owned stores in Bristol, Vergennes and Middlebury where you will find antiques, jewelry, books, clothing, gifts, and specialty foods. Burlington, Vermont’s largest city, is only 30 minutes north and offers a wide array of shopping and cultural opportunities. Save room for a Ben and Jerry’s factory tour and watch the most lovable bears come to life at the Vermont Teddy Bear factory.

Middlebury and Burlington are also home to many colleges and universities making this area a center for educational and cultural activities. Middlebury College, the University of Vermont, Champlain College, St. Michael’s College and Burlington College are all within a 30 minutes drive of Baldwin Creek.  The Flynn Theater in Burlington is Vermont's center for the Performing Arts and home to many local artists and performers.
